Ten-Ton Titan Terrier is here to save the world! Papercutz and Mad Cave Studios have announced the incoming monstrosity that is the Ten-Ton Titan Terrier.

Perfect for fans of Pokémon, The Iron Giant, and Pacific Rim, Ringo Award-winning writer David Pepose (Savage Avengers, Space Ghost) and acclaimed artist Ornella Greco (Star Trek: Picard’s Academy, Total Suplex of the Heart) deliver a heart-warming sci-fi adventure about a boy and his dog… with 10 tons of over-the-top, monster-battling action.

“Equal parts Pokémon and The Iron Giant, Ten-Ton Titan Terrier is a passion project that I’ve spent the last five years bringing to life, and I couldn’t be more excited to work with superstar artist Ornella Greco and Papercutz to make this book a reality,” said writer David Pepose. “This book was inspired by my own terrier, Holly, who packed ten tons of personality in her 11-inch tall frame. Filled to the brim with action, excitement, and heart, Ten-Ton Titan Terrier is perfect for dog lovers, kaiju fans, and giant robot enthusiasts of all ages.”

Illustrator Ornella Greco added, “One of the best projects I’ve worked on. Not only because the story and characters have been so much fun to work with, but also because there’s been great teamwork the entire time!”

What is Ten-Ton Titan Terrier about?

When an asteroid unleashes a horde of alien monsters known as Bio-Titans, Earth must turn to a suit of extraterrestrial battle armor to save the day — but there’s just one catch. Because the only creature on the planet capable of turning it on… is an 11-inch-tall terrier named Holly. With the Bio-Titan threat escalating by the second, Holly and her scientist owner Sam will find their unique bond tested as he trains his mischievous mutt to become not just man’s best friend but humanity’s only hope.

Acclaimed creator Steve Orlando (Scarlet Witch, Avengers Assemble) has already praised the book: “Brimming with true heart and creativity… Ten-Ton Titan Terrier is a wildly fun idea that pulled me in from the first page!”

The book is available for preorder now at bookstores, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and other retailers. The official street date drop for Ten-Ton Titan Terrier is October 7, 2025.

David Pepose is a former reporter turned Ringo Award-winning comic book creator who has written on hit titles such as Cable: Love & Chrome, Savage Avengers, Moon Knight: City of the Dead and Punisher for Marvel Comics, Space Ghost and Captain Planet for Dynamite Entertainment, Speed Racer for Mad Cave Studios, as well as acclaimed original series Spencer & Locke, Going to the Chapel, Grand Theft Astro, The O.Z., Scout’s Honor, The Devil That Wears My Face, and more.

David’s books have appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, Forbes, and io9 and have ranked on Barnes & Noble’s Best Comics and Graphic Novels list. His writing has been called “stunningly subversive” by IGN and “an absurdly good time” by Nerdist, while Syfy has described his work as “utterly insane or pure genius (or admittedly, maybe both).” Raised in St. Louis, David currently resides in sunny Los Angeles, where he lives with his understanding wife, their rambunctious terrier, and at least six deadlines.

Ornella Greco is a cartoonist and freelance illustrator from Italy. She studied in Palermo, Sicily, at the Grafimated Cartoon School of Comics and finished her studies in 2019. After she graduated, she began working for various publishers in the American and French comics industry, on such works as the acclaimed Dragon Kingdom of Wrenly series from Little Simon, Star Trek: Picard’s Academy with IDW Publishing, Total Suplex of the Heart with Humanoids, and more.

Justin Birch is a Ringo Award-nominated letterer born and raised in the hills of West Virginia. He has been lettering comics since 2015 and is a member of the lettering studio AndWorld Design. He has worked with AWA, Boom!, DC, Dark Horse, IDW, Image, Mad Cave Studios, and numerous indie publishers. Justin still lives in West Virginia, only now it’s with his loving wife, daughters, and their dog Kirby.

Tim Daniel is a writer and designer of comic books responsible for countless titles spanning nearly 20 years and almost every major publisher. He resides in Missoula, Montana with his wife Erin, daughters Elle and Olivia, the catssassin Charli, and the mighty protector of the realm, a black lab named Riggins.
