Solo Leveling has show just how much Korean webcomics can have in the anime space on Crunchyroll. And now, the dub cast reaches new heights by adding global Latino superstar J Balvin to the English and Spanish voice casts of Solo Leveling Season 2 as Kargalan.

“There is immense power in bringing a character like Kargalgan to life – his darkness, his fury, and his strength. Voicing him in Solo Leveling has been an incredible experience and tremendous honor,” said J Balvin.

J Blavin’s addition to the cast is striking and it also feels like a natural extension of Latin America’s love of anime. I mean, how many of us remember watching Dragon Ball Z for the first time on Telemundo? Seeing one of the largest Latino superstars in the world joining the cast of the largest anime in the world right now feels like a perfect kind of harmony.

J Balvin is a GRAMMY-nominated global superstar, entrepreneur, mental health advocate, and critically acclaimed music icon who has broken cultural barriers to become one of the Top 10 most-streamed artists in the world. Originally from Medellín, Colombia, the reggaeton giant is one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time.

Solo Leveling Season 2 is also the best-reviewed anime series for our critics right now, which you can follow here.
