Apple TV+ dropped the hilarious trailer for Mythic Quest Season 4, the hit workplace comedy from creators Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz.

Mythic Quest Season 4 sees the return of stars McElhenney, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi, Ashly Burch, Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis and Naomi Ekperigin under the same fluorescent office lights as the reunited team at Mythic Quest confronts new challenges amongst a changing video game landscape as stars rise, egos clash, relationships bloom, and everyone tries to have a little more work work-life balance.

Mythic Quest is executive produced by McElhenney and Day under their RCG banner, Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel on behalf of 3Arts, and Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, and Gérard Guillemot for Ubisoft Film & Television. Hornsby and Ganz also executive produce. The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ubisoft Film & Television.

The series is from creators Katie McElhenney, Ashly Burch, and John Howell Harris and stars Rob McElhenney, Anna Konkle, Derek Waters, William Stanford Davis, Bria Samoné Henderson, Rome Flynn, Leonard Robinson, Gary Kraus, Annamarie Kasper, Esai Morales, Shalita Grant and many more in the leading roles across each installment.

The 10-episode new season will premiere globally on Wednesday, January 29. The first two episodes will be followed by one new episode weekly through Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

The arrival of Side Quest spinoff

In addition to the season four premiere, Mythic Quest fans can look forward to the global debut of its much-anticipated anthology series Side Quest on March 26. All four episodes will debut at launch. An expansion of the Mythic Quest universe, Side Quest explores the lives of employees, players, and fans who are impacted by the game in an anthology format.

Originally titled Mere Mortals, the series has taken its time to get up on its feet. Announced in December 2022, it is from the minds of Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Katie McElhenney. Megan Ganz, Rob McElhenney, David Hornsby, and Charlie Day serve as executive producers. A lot can change in two years, but approaching the series from an anthological perspective is smart in exploring the world of Mythic Quest further.

Side Quest will follow the format of Mythic Quest‘s standalone episodes. For fans of the series, this gives a sense of the vibe they’ll be going for.

Is Mythic Quest Season 4 worth the hype?

Mythic Quest Season 4 Trailer

Apple TV+ has generally been good about investing in its TV shows, with many getting at least a couple of seasons to capture the full scope of story showrunners have to offer. Mythic Quest is one such series, and the praise is well worth it. And while there are a decent amount of workplace comedies out there, this Apple TV+ series continues to come out on top.

Our critic had much to say about the series, summing up its success well: “Mythic Quest is easily the best workplace comedy out right now, and one of AppleTV+’s singing series. After two stellar seasons that dove into game development, pandemic work-from-home depression, and the ways that game development helps you thrive creatively or leaves you burned out (and sometimes both), Mythic Quest Season 3 [is bigger than ever].”

Season 3 turned out to be another massive homerun for Apple TV+, with our critic saying, “Mythic Quest Season 3 is yet another amazing season for a strong, hilarious, and authentic series that continually manages to create hyperbolic characters that also have a grounded core.”

The arrival of Mythic Quest Season 4 heralds the possibility of more greatness. Until then, if you have Apple TV+, dive into Mythic Quest and catch up. The first three seasons of Mythic Quest are now streaming globally on Apple TV+.
