So, you’ve either reached the point of no return or have just finished the game, and you want to find now every secret of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and you probably need the best amulets to do it. That’s a daunting task, given all the secret walls, side quests, and challenges to complete to get every reward. Thankfully, there are some amulets to help you make your goal a little easier. If you want to get everything Ubisoft’s new Metroidvania has to offer, here are the amulets you must use to have a better chance of conquering everything thrown at you.
Hardiness
The best amulets in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown start with this one: Hardiness. The most common challenge you’ll face is obstacle challenges. Each one requires precise jumping to get that precious Xerxes coin or reach that hidden area. And those spikes take out a not-insignificant portion of your health, too. The best way to minimize that is with the Hardiness amulet. This precious beauty decreases all environmental damage. When upgraded to its max level, spikes will feel like a tickle. This is an absolute must-use so you can increase your number of attempts on each challenge before you’re sent back to the nearest Wak-Wak Tree.
Ard’s Fortune
Every weapon and amulet can be upgraded. What makes that tough is they all cost a good amount of time shards to unlock those upgrades. The best way to farm time shards quickly is to equip Ard’s Fortune, which gives you more time crystals from defeated enemies. A normal farming route gave a lot more with this equipped, speeding up my time to get everything to max level, and I suggest you do the same too.
Ecbatana Seal
To go along with Ard’s Fortune, equip Ectabana Seal. In later areas, enemies will be all around you and you’ll be moving around a lot to avoid damage. Ecbtatana Seal increases your pick-up range of time crystals to about double Sargon’s arm length, the crystals will be pulled to you. This will save you a not-insignificant amount of time jumping around to collect every single crystal that gets popped out of every loot piñata.
King Jamshid
Now, the most critical amulet to bring on your journey is King Jamshid. There are dozens of hidden chests through Mount Qaf. With King Jamshid, you’ll get an audio cue when there is any chest nearby. So if you hear it, start hitting every wall to find that secret area and chest. But if you got the special edition, which comes with the free Prosperity Bird amulet, King Jamshid becomes redundant since the bird that follows you will also tell you when any secret, let alone a chest, is nearby.
Starving Heart
This amulet sold in The Depths for Xerxes coins will be your lifesaver. For less damage, you’ll gradually restore health. Think of this as basically an immortality charm as you do every challenge. This may be one of the last amulets you get, though, as you will need to actually get some Xerxes coins from the jumping challenges to actually get it in the first place.
Whatever amulets you choose, your use of Sargon’s kit will be pushed to its limits to get everything Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has to offer. So practice, and don’t be afraid to try and try again — that’s how I was able to find the best amulets in Prince of Persia. If you ever get stuck, don’t forget to use the vision mechanic to remember exactly what you’re missing, too. Good luck!
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
