So much suspense has been building throughout LINK CLICK Season 2 and the action shows no signs of slowing down as the season approaches the end. With Lu Guang in the hands of Li Tianchen, Cheng Xiaoshi is in a race against time to find his friend and save him all while Qian Jin’s ultimate role in things is still yet to be fully seen. It won’t be easy for Cheng Xiaoshi in LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10, “Improvise,” but thankfully he does not have to do it all on his own.

The fates of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi took a backseat in the last episode but are back in the foreground in LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10. Cheng Xiaoshi used his abilities to enter the past of Lu Guang to figure out how he escaped and where he is in the present which set a whole new chain of wild events in motion. Most interestingly, Cheng Xiaoshi was forced out of the photo after making contact with what appears to be Li Tianxi. It’s not the first time Cheng Xiaoshi has been forced out of the past, but this time we get an explanation as to how it happened.

It has been known for quite some time that Li Tianxi and Li Tianchen have powers similar to those of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi, but the main cast had not been able to figure out just how those abilities worked. That answer is finally given in LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10 and it shows just how perfectly the sibling duo matches up against the main characters. Li Tianchen can control others through physical touch while Li Tianxi can see what they are doing through photos, and in tandem these abilities allow Li Tianchen to control others through his sister’s powers.

It’s such an interesting combination that also highlights how Li Tianxi might not be acting of her own free will. She is either being forced or tricked into helping her brother and Qian Jin. Even the way she reveals their abilities to Qiao Ling through child-like drawings helps reveal more of her characters and how she may be an unwilling partner in everything that is going on. It also shows that she is aware of her role and wants to help, but is limited because of her brother and her traumatic family history.

LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10 - But Why Tho

LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10 helps reveal the role the pink-haired siblings played in the events earlier on in the season quite well. One of the most common themes this season has been episodes spending time backtracking to give more details and it is done exceptionally well here too. It can be hard to constantly go back and re-tell story events without letting them feel overly repetitive or stale, but that’s not an issue here. The added context given to what happened to Officer Chen Bin, for example, not only reveals more about what happened but also gives more much-needed context to Li Tianxi’s role in things.

While Li Tianxi appears to be willing to help make things right, her brother is a much different story. The death of their parents affected the two of them, but Li Tianchen has gone down a much darker path than his sister. Despite the darkness within him, he does show a moment of humanity with Lu Guang, helping heal the gaping wound in his side. Part of keeping him alive is just to be able to trade him for Cheng Xiaoshi, but there is the tiniest glimpse of humanity left in Li Tianchen that could come back into play later.

Qian Jin is the mastermind behind everything here and the way he sets up the swap of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi is downright brilliant and a bit creepy. Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling are headed into a trap that is not going to play out quickly, but the setup for what comes next over the final two episodes shows they are prepared to take on Li Tianchen and Qian Jin. What remains to be seen is if Cheng Xiaoshi’s plan is going to be enough to put a stop to two enemies who have had ages to put their plan in motion. Ending on yet another cliffhanger, LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10 builds towards the season’s climax excellently.

LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10 is full of mystery and suspense as the two sides put their plans into motion. It’s going to be an uphill battle for Cheng Xiaoshi and friends if they want to defeat Li Tianchen and Qian Jin but as the season wraps up the path to victory becomes a bit clearer.

LINK CLICK Season 2 Episode 10 is streaming now on Crunchyroll with new episodes every Friday this Summer Anime season.
