Bungie Unveils the Upcoming Destiny 2 Expansion

Now entering Season 22, Destiny 2 is approaching “The Final Shape.” On Tuesday, August 22nd, Bungie will share more information on the upcoming expansion to the critically acclaimed and fan-favorite multiplayer game during its annual Bungie Showcase 2023. During the event, the developer will share more details on the upcoming expansion, Season 22, the next reprised raid, and more.

Destiny 2’s last expansion, “Lightfall” may have received mixed reviews but the fanbase is still going strong and the game itself has become a juggernaut in the landscape of multiplayer games, and science fiction stories. That reality is what keeps Guardians engaged every season. While fans know that the ten-year journey of Destiny’s Light & Darkness Saga is approaching its epic conclusion with Destiny 2: The Final Shape, not much else has been revealed, making the next Bungie Showcase 2023 all the more exciting.

If you’re looking to tun into the Bungie Showcase 2023, the pre-show begins at 8 AM PT/11am ET on Tuesday, August 22, while the main Showcase will start at 9 AM PT/12pm ET. After the Showcase, the live post-show will begin with a roundtable discussion about what to expect in the coming year for  Destiny 2. Sure to be a one-stop shot for those looking to learn more about the next step in Destiny 2, so make sure to tune in.

For those joining the Bungie Showcase 2023 for information on “The Final Shape” via Bungie’s Twitch channel, the developer has enabled Twitch Drops, gifting viewers an exclusive emblem if they watch for 30 minutes any time from the start of the Showcase until the end of the post-show. A mainstay in the multiplayer ecosystem, Bungie also shared a promotional video that highlights the “Epic Moments” of “The Light and Darkness Saga” in anticipation for the event which shows some of the exciting reactions to big moments throughout the years.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is slated to release in February 2024.
