Original drama Foundation will have 10 episodes, with one episode airing on the premiere date—the remaining episodes air weekly. In the show itself, it will be more than a century since the season one finale, and tension is growing intensely. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy the Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire. Eventually, the monumental adaptation of Foundation chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties, and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity. Filming for the second season started in the Czech Republic.

While Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, and Terrence Mann return to the cast, there are many new additions. These include Isabella Laughland, Kulvinder Ghir, Ella-Rae Smith, Holt McCallany, Rachel House, Nimrat Kaur, Ben Daniels, and Dimitri Leonidas. Foundation is produced for Apple by Skydance Television and led by showrunner and executive producer David S. Goyer, with Alex Graves, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bill Bost, Robin Asimov, and Marcy Ross also serving as executive producers. Of course, many viewers feel the first season only hinted at the overall story. Therefore, many are likely to be excited at the near arrival of the upcoming season in the summer.

The sci-fi series has, so far, been a hit with viewers and critics. The show includes Visual Effects Society Awards win its catalog of awards. Aside from the series Foundation, there is also the companion podcast – Foundation: The Official Podcast. With Jason Concepcion & David Goyer as hosts, the first season is available on Apple Podcasts.
