Escape from the Past

Coin Crew Games, in partnership with publishers iam8bit and Skybound Games are adding more to Escape Academy. Coming Jun 19, 2023, the second DLC, “Escape from the Past,” will give players through five all-new, puzzling, and mind-bending levels to solve a “whodunnit”-style mystery. The game already offers a fresh take on the beloved Escape Room format, and it’s getting even larger and more immersive. The DLC will be available at no extra cost in the Escape Academy Season Pass (also concluding the Season Passe content), priced at $14.99 USD. Players will also be able to purchase the new content separately for $9.99 USD.

If this is your first time learning about the game or the developer, Coin Crew Games is an indie games studio founded in 2018 with one goal in mind: bringing people together to play. With innovative concepts and research-driven design, they are building the next generation of games and attractions for arcades, amusement parks, and at home.

As for Escape Academy, the game has attracted an audience of over one million players across all platforms since its release last year and recently took home the Webby Awards for best Family, Kids & Education Games as well as in the Puzzle, Strategy & Trivia category. Now, the game developers ask players to step into the past for Escape Academy’s second Expansion Pack, joining old friends and Academy students Sandra Solange and Eel Barnes on a mission to unmask a villain who wants their Headmaster dead. After an “accident” at an Academy sport event, Sandra and Eel are tasked with investigating each of the suspected faculty members to deduce who the killer is and save the school.

Additionally, Coin Crew Games will release Escape Academy: The Complete Edition onto Nintendo Switch in Fall 2023 for $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop, including all DLC, including “Escape from the Past.” Like mysteries? Like Escape rooms? Well, there is nothing better than what Escape Academy can offer.

Escape Academy: Escape From the Past DLC – Announcement Gameplay Trailer

Escape Academy: Escape From the Past arrives on June 19! This prequel DLC (included in the Escape Academy Season Pass) puts players in control of Sandra Solange and Eel Barnes all the way back when they began their journey as students at the Academy!
