Sabikui Bisco Episode 11

Sabikui Bisco is a fantasy/adventure anime produced by Oz. With Tetsujin’s relentless march continuing, Milo, Jabi, and Pawoo marshal all the strength they can to oppose the monster. But can even their combined resources and strength be enough to stop the mad will of Kurosawa that drives the engine of death in Sabikui Bisco Episode 11?

This week’s episode is a pyrotechnic showcase as Tetsujin continues to crush everything or one in his path. Previous locations from the series, such as the children’s town Milo and Bisco visited back in Episode 5, return to face the wrath of the monster. But the only real challenge that stands before Tesujin continues to be Milo.

Channeling everything Bisco taught him, Milo redoubles his efforts to save the people from the titanic brute’s onslaught. It is interesting to see Milo this way. On the surface, it feels like this passion and energy have almost been bequeathed to him by his late partner. But, when one thinks about the determination the White Panda has always shown, a drive that saw him willing to travel out into the wilderness with an alleged killer to save his sister’s life, and perhaps this is the Milo we’ve always known. He just hadn’t been challenged yet.

While Milo remains the center of the resistance against Tetsujin, Sabikui Bisco Episode 11 confirms he is not alone in his fight. His sister remains as always watching his back, and this episode sees her bring the full strength of the guard down on their monstrous opponent. While the military strength of the Gaurd is impressive, Sabikui Bisco continues to make a special point of figuring out the most bad-ass way they can have Pawoo drop into fights. The more I see Pawoo deliver crazy ariel attacks and cause violent shockwaves with that bo of hers, the more desperately I need her to appear in a 2D fighting game. Maybe Dragon Ball FighterZ could have a guest character?

All this action and monster-sized rampage come through beautifully thanks to the fantastic animation Oz continues to deliver. Every blast of energy, acrobatic leap, and death-defying escape pulls the viewer into the moment wonderfully. And even though the action is the bulk of this episode’s runtime, the animation does just as good a job delivering the story’s slower moments.

When all is said and done, Sabikui Bisco Episode 11 delivers a ton of top-notch action in this episode. Combined with a surprising twist at its end and the series is primed for its big season finale next week.

Sabikui Bisco Episode 11 is streaming now on Crunchyroll.
