They’re back! After a life forced hiatus Neysha and Kate excited to be back talking all about Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train . Finally in the states, the film has smashed record s in Japan and the United States. While Neysha has been on the Demon Slayer Train for 2 years, Kate decided to hop on right before the film’s release and it now reading the manga. In this episode, the women discuss the Mugen Train, what they love about the series, and ultimately why the film hits hard.

Neysha explains how much she love Rengoku and why his role in the movie had to happen that way. Kate talks about grief and growing. And they both talk about being excited to live at t time when an anime film is smashing the box office. Plus, they also talk about how Muggen Train will hopefully impact anime series movies going forward — spoiler, it has to do with keeping them canon.

If you’re unfamiliar, Mugen Train is directed by Haruo Sotozaki featuring the original story by Koyoharu Gotouge with screenplay and animation production by studio ufotable. The Demon Slayer anime series, streaming on Funimation both subtitled and dubbed, premiered in 2019 and is based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, which boasts over 150 million copies in circulation in Japan. Since bursting on the scene, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an action-packed, thrilling tale of a young man in search of a cure for his sister, who has been turned into a demon after their family is viciously slaughtered by demons. Together with a captivating story and distinct visual aesthetic by studio ufotable, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba offers a glimpse into Japan in the early 1900s, which is inhabited by demons and those that vow to slay them.

Mugen Train is set after the events of the television series, Demon Slayer Mugen Train has Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke embark on a new mission. Together with one of the most powerful swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, they investigate the mysterious disappearance of over 40 people aboard the Mugen Train.
