4 Great ‘Marvel Rivals’ Heroes to Team Up With Angela

Asgard’s Assassin, Angela, has made her debut in Marvel Rivals. The flying vanguard brings new gameplay strategies as she terrifies flying foes and crashes down enemies beneath her. However, while this denizen of the Tenth Realm is powerful on her own, certain characters present particular synergies with the Odin Daughter, enabling her to maximize her impact on the battlefield. So, let’s talk about four characters we believe work exceptionally well with Angela.

As the quintessential dive DPS in Marvel Rivals, Peter Parker is a perfect companion for Angela’s forays into enemy territory. He can keep up with her, even when her speed is boosted by Assassin’s Charge, and is more than capable of helping to finish off any target she selects from an enemy formation. The extra damage can easily increase Angela’s forays into the enemy lines from disruptive to deadly.

Like every entry you’ll see on this list, Peter can also support Angela’s more grounded confrontations. While he’s a bit too frail to wade into large melees, a timely deployment of his ultimate will leave any opponent engaged with Angela far too weak to challenge the Asgardian warrior, if they survive Parker’s attack at all.

Invisible Woman

Invisible Woman is one of the heroes to team up with Angela in Marvel Rivals

Angela’s most significant moments come after slamming onto the battlefield, challenging foes to battle with her trusty axes. However, enemies don’t always play fair. Some may seek to swarm Angela, counting on sheer numbers to overwhelm her godly might, while others may flee. Whatever the case may be, Sue Storm has the perfect tools to help keep Angela swinging and her foes from escaping.

Much like her synergies with Phoenix, Invisible Woman’s crowd control elements in Marvel Rivals work wonderfully with Angela’s kit. Her Psychic Vortex both damages and slows enemies in an area, making it the perfect thing to drop on top of Angela’s landing zone.

Further help can be granted by using Sue’s force shield. Its healing properties can provide a sustaining aid for Angela, whether she finds herself beset by melee or range. Whether on the ground or in the air, this protective ability can often reach Angela, making it a good way to keep the vanguard on her feet.

But the key element that makes her a great hero to pair with Angela is her ultimate. The combination of crowd control, negating enemy lines of sight, and healing provided by it does everything Angela could ask for. Combined with the bonus health supplied by Angela’s abilities when she attacks enemies after using her skills, few things in the game will stop Angela’s rampage when these effects come together.

Emma Frost

Emma Frost is one of the heroes to team up with Angela in Marvel Rivals

The far less mobile vanguard may not initially seem like a likely pairing for the swift Angela. But the White Queen can prove helpful for this seemingly unlikely teammate in several ways, making her a natural main tank to go with Angela.

The biggest thing that makes Emma a standout vanguard option over others in Marvel Rivals is her shield. While other tanks possess such tools, she is the only one who can project hers to an extent that can cover Angela easily. For example, you’re holding a point, and Angela flew out to scout the enemy. She’s gotten into hot water and is returning with the entire enemy team on her tail. She’d probably die before rejoining the group unless Emma saves the day with a timely save. Emma’s ability to project protection is excellent for an aggressive Angela when things go wrong.

Emma can also provide more direct support for her comrade when Angela’s battle returns to earth. In her diamond form, Emma can hold her own in most melees, especially once she starts receiving bonus health from Angela. Having an angel crash down on you is disorienting enough. Having it followed up by a Carbon Crush and roundhouse kick combo from Emma seems like a highly unpleasant way to be sent back to spawn.

And then there is the combo potential with their ultimates. Once Angela has a group of enemies tethered in place, they have no way to escape Emma’s Psionic Seduction. Forcing the opposing team to walk into Angela’s waiting axes mindlessly will certainly make anyone’s highlight reel.

Human Torch

The Human Torch is one of the heroes you can team up with Angela in Marvel Rivals

A Fantastic airborne ally for Angela, the hotheaded Human Torch provides excellent support for her. Johnny can take advantage of the distraction that a charging Angela can be on enemy fliers, allowing him to pick them off with ease. He can also help cover Angela when she has to beat a hasty retreat, thanks to his fiery projectiles.

But while his aid in the air is solid, it is when Angela is on the ground that Human Torch’s help truly shines. His ability to box enemies in with fire can leave them with no safe avenue of escape when Angela comes crashing down on their heads. Johnny can even join in on the fun, dive bombing alongside his teammate to add an extra punch to the festivities.

I bet you can guess what’s coming up next. That’s right! His ultimate combines excellently with Angela’s as well. The fiery inferno unleashed by Johnny is guaranteed to flame anyone who is tethered down when he unleashes his most powerful attack. Between Angela’s axes cutting a swath through foes and Torch’s flames scorching the battlefield, it might as well be Ragnarok for their foes.

And those are our suggestions for Marvel Rivals characters to pair up with Angela. I hope this helps you find ways to maximize Angela’s presence on the battlefield. Until next time, keep playing the point.
