SpaceCraft, the large-scale multiplayer space sandbox from Shiro Games, is launching into Early Access on May 20, 2026. Promising a seamless universe spanning star systems, it aims to give players the space to freely transition from deep-space travel to planetary exploration.
“SpaceCraft is about giving players the tools to shape a living, player-driven universe at their own pace,” Nicolas Cannasse, CEO of Shiro Games, said in a release to press. “Whether you focus on industry, trade, or exploration, every decision contributes to a larger ecosystem when Early Access begins next month.”
What is SpaceCraft?

A multiplayer open-space sandbox, SpaceCraft utilizes everything about exploring the universe in its in-game features. One part MMO, all production management, this game has the chance to be something big if it hits the right community.
Players will start small and then grow their planetary bases into major industrial forces by automating production lines, deploying fleets, and using cargo ships to extract and retransport resources across the star systems. As much as this is set to be a game about exploring the open universe, it’s also about optimization as players scale their network to control the flow of materials across the galaxy.
Additionally, scanning planets and asteroids will allow players to discover new, valuable resources. While independent production chains are managed, players can also trade and sell resources with other players as well.
As an MMO, SpaceCraft’s approach to a guild structure is called Corporations. Players can join others in these Corporations to collaborate, assign roles, and coordinate large-scale operations together. Corporations also allow players to take on contracts, which will allow them to upgrade their fleet.
