When it comes to esports, Asia is the most dominant region with players like South Korea’s Faker setting a new gold standard for the GOAT, not just in the game he plays (League of Legends) but expectations for the entire field. Disney+ is taking note by expanding its Esports live streams with a new collaboration with the Korea Esports Association (KeSPA).
Recently announced, the new expansion will begin with the streaming platform streaming the Esports Championships Asia live on April 24 through April 26, 2026. This follows last year’s successful live stream for the 2025 LoL KeSPA CUP. The more important point is that the livestream will not be geolocked, allowing global fans to tune in to the live events.
What does the Disney+ and KeSPA collaboration mean?
The expanded collaboration will include global live coverage of major flagship events including the Esports Champions Asia Jinju 2026, the 2026 LoL KeSPA CUP and the Korea national team send-off ceremony and LoL friendly matches before the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. And finally, Disney+ will also participate as an official streamer for PUBG Mobile and Eternal Return, delivering full tournament coverage of these titles to global audiences.
ESPN will also be featured in the livestream, aiming to deliver a world-class sports presentation to esports fans and maybe make some new fans along the way. Disney’s ownership of ESPN has enabled the platform to expand its live-event offering. This collaboration expands the streamer’s live programming slate.
What is the Esports Championships Asia 2026?

Held across three days in Jinju, South Korea, the Esports Championships Asia serves as an important platform for national teams ahead of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

- The King of Fighters XV
- TEKKEN 8
- eFootball™ series (PC/Mobile)
