It’s a new month, and that means that EA Sports has released a new title update. The most notable addition in the November Title Update for Madden NFL 26 is also known as the “Be All-Madden” update, which honors the legacy of Coach John Madden.
This means that the November Title Update features specific Be All-Madden content with content across the game, including a new Play Now experience, Franchise upgrades, and a little bit more. But that’s not the only thing that this update is bringing. But that’s not the focus of this update blog.
Additionally, the Madden 26 November Title Update is described by EA Sports as being one of the biggest mid-season refreshes that they have ever pulled off. This includes updating resuffling X-Factors and Superstars based on the current real-life season performances for players like Puka Nacua, Baker Mayfield, and Jonathan Taylor.
But for those of us in online Franchises that live in their own bubble away from player updates, the most important thing in this update is whether or not EA Sports is making more defensive adjustments, actually to make defense viable in the game. After months of a broken pass rush, and then “fixes” to the pass rush that broke contain defensive adjustments and stunts (or at least it feels like it), playing defense has become my least favorite thing about Madden 26, especially with players taking advantage of a buffed QB juke.
Thankfully, it looks like while not all of the elements I’m yearning for are coming, some of them are being addressed, with Contain, QB jukes, AI playcalling got adjustments. And for the Franchise folks, we’ll now have access to Wear & Tear sliders and more playsheet options.

November Title Update – Gameplay Changes

Offense Changes
Highlight: EA Sports has moved to address the unrealistic QB speed boost when doing the QB Juke in the backfield without holding Sprint, which led to many running QBs on pass plays. Users no longer get a speed boost, and defenders keep better containment. The move’s effectiveness has been rebalanced to prevent it from being used to exploit defensive behavior.
Defensive Changes
Highlight: The devs have improved defender pursuit, so that they now maintain a containment pursuit angle against QB Juke. because of the broken QB Juke, pass rushers were not disengaging early enough to contain QBs escaping the pocket. Addressing containment is how EA Sports is looking to improve overall gameplay balance, when scrambling QBs remain one of the most exploited elements of offense.
- Fixed an issue preventing an audible to a new defensive play when a receiver is in motion during an automotion play
- Addressed an issue where blitzing an off-ball linebacker or mugging the A-gap with your user would sometimes result in a DT coming free against a double-team block.
- Defensive pass rushers now disengage earlier when the QB starts to scramble out of the pocket.
General Gameplay
Highlight: AI QB play is getting some major adjustments. First, the devs have improved AI QB’s taking unnecessary sacks – better consideration of throwing the ball away when all receivers are covered. And second, they have worked to improve AI QB decision-making when the game clock is low, hoping they will now manage the clock better by targeting the end zone or throwing the ball away near halftime and in late-game situations.
- Fixed an issue where changing Wear & Tear Subs at play call would reset all other coach adjustments.
- Tuning to make ‘Ice the Kicker’ more consistently trigger in appropriate situations.
- Modified AI run game playcalling logic – to rely more heavily on their most effective run types.

Madden 26 November Title Update – Franchise Mode
Wear & Tear
Highlight: We have Wear & Tear sliders now, in Franchise mode. That’s it, that’s the highlight. Like College Football 26, these sliders give users more control over how hits, snaps, and recovery affect player health and stamina throughout the season.
Available Wear & Tear Sliders
- Per-Play Impact – How much wear accumulates from each snap or collision.
- Tackle Impact Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Tackle.
- Hit Stick Impact Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Hit Stick collision.
- Cut Stick Impact Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Cut Stick collision.
- Catch Tackle Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Catch Tackle collision.
- Time Out Recovery – How much recovery occurs between each Time Out.
- End of Quarter Recovery – How much recovery occurs between each Quarter
- Halftime Recovery – How much recovery occurs at Halftime.
- Per-Game Recovery – How much recovery occurs between games.
- Per-Week Recovery – How quickly players regain health and stamina week to week.
Coaching

Highlight: Coach Tuning is here, and it’s aiming to make coach abilities more meaningful for players. The increase in ability power was designed to “make choices feel more meaningful and impactful, mirroring the influence that top NFL coaches have in shaping game plans and matchups.” In our interview with the EA Sports developer team, they discussed wanting to make Franchise more meaningful in Madden 26, and this is one of those ways.

Playsheets
Added four new playsheets:

- Tier 3: +5 Deep Accuracy and +2 Throw Power for QB’s on Playsheet Plays
- TIer 4: +7 to all Pass Blocking Attributes for the OL on Playsheet Plays

- Tier 3: +5 Man Coverage and Play Rec for FS and SS on Playsheet Plays
- Tier 4: +7 Man Coverage and Press for all CBs on Playsheet Plays
