As if getting reverse UNOed wasn’t already bad enough, now you can destroy your friendships even more with UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy. Now available on consoles and PC, the new version of the classic game packs a serious punch with four unique rules, six action cards, and a deadly new way to eliminate your opponents.
Seeing our childhood reimagined as video games is nothing new, but the UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy DLC taps into the weird kitchen table rules that you would come up with, with your friends, in an interesting way. It sure looks like they are aiming to replicate the friendship-ending chaos.
Fans diving into the new mode will also find that the base UNO game has received a UI overhaul, along with other quality-of-life updates through the simultaneous patch released with the DLC.

What is the UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy DLC?

UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy aims to change the game’s objective from getting rid of all of your cards the fastest to just about getting rid of your cards the fastest. With the new DLC, players have two win-conditions. They can either win the old-fashioned way, or they can make players pick up too many cards instead. This, of course, makes those “Draw 4” cards even more valuable.

The specific, game-changing rules for the DLC, as shared by Ubisoft, include:
-
Mercy – If a player has 25 or more cards in their hand, they are out of the game.
-
Draw Until You Can Play – When you don’t have a matching card, you must draw until you can play.
-
7’s Swap – When you play a 7 card of any color, you MUST swap your hand with another player of your choice.
-
0’s Pass – When you play a 0 card of any color, ALL players must pass their hand to the next player in the current direction of play.
-
Stacking – If someone plays a Draw Card (+2, +4, +6, +10) you can “Stack” the penalty by playing a Draw Card from your hand of equal or higher value. If you do, the card you played adds to the total penalty for the next player. This continues until someone can’t play a Draw Card.
New UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy DLC

The rule additions are complemented by a host of powerful new Action Cards that are central to the “No Mercy” theme, designed to inflict maximum pain on your opponents and rapidly increase card counts. We’ve presented the new Action Card as explained by Ubisoft below:
- Discard All Card – Discard all the cards in your hand that match the color of the Discard All card.
- Skip Everyone Card – Skip all the other players and take another turn.
- Wild Reverse Draw 4 Card – Reverse the direction of play, then the next player in the new direction must draw four cards and lose their turn. You may use the stacking rule to send the penalty back to the other player.

- Wild Draw 6 Card – The next player must draw six cards and lose their turn.
- Wild Draw 10 Card – The next player must draw 10 cards and lose their turn.
- Wild Color Roulette Card – The next player chooses a color. After that, they must reveal cards one at a time from the Draw pile until they get a card of that color. Then they add all the revealed cards to their hand and lose a turn.
UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy is out now on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC via the Ubisoft store, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
