The series centers on Clara Merlo, a first-year medical resident whose life takes a dramatic turn after she suffers a sudden cardiac arrest. Following a successful heart transplant, Clara is given a second chance, but the new heart within her also stirs a profound sense of disquiet.

Compelled to discover the identity of her donor, she investigates a small, enigmatic village. There, she uncovers that her donor was a young man involved in a deep, unresolved tragedy. Clara’s unexpected presence in the community begins to unravel a sequence of events that will ultimately expose a past that the residents had long sought to keep buried.
