Studio Pixanoh pulled back the curtain on a new, unsettling feature in their upcoming cooking action RPG, Town of Zoz, with a new trailer that debuted during the Future Games Show Live at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Germany.

While players will spend their time as reluctant Shaman Chef Ito, they will also have to confront the dark side of the seemingly idyllic village as they encounter “Village Nightmares.” The new trailer, featured in today’s showcase, dives into the surreal heart of Zoz, where a growing unease shadows the everyday joys of cooking and community.

As players forge bonds with the townspeople and explore Zoz’s tangled past, they’ll uncover the Nightmares—twisted manifestations of unresolved emotions, lingering regrets, and family curses that threaten to consume the villagers from within.

One of the most striking elements of the game is its Mesoamerican-inspired setting, its attention to creature design, and its vibrant color palette. From architecture, clothing, hairstyle, and weapons, this debut title from Studio Pixanoh is filled with Mesoamerican beauty.
