The patch notes are extensive, so we have collected the highlights. For full pricing information for shop items, locations of new plants, and any other detailed information, head to the developer blog here.
What is new in Palia’s Botanical Bliss update?
The Botanical Bliss update offers players new ways to engage with the world of Palia, including a new community-focused quest board and a daily event.
Flower Bloom Event
This new daily event, available at 12 PM game time, challenges players to a flower-filled cooperative challenge, but don’t worry, you can enjoy this new Palia event solo too.
- How do I find the event? Look for the orange mist and little green sprouts popping up across the landscape. When you see weeds clustered around budding sprouts, you’ll know that you’re in the right place. This event can appear in six random locations throughout Kilima.
- Who can participate in the Flower Bloom event? This event is available to all players, including those who may be new to Palia. Yup, that means all you have to do is make it through the tutorial and you’re all set.
- What do I need for the event? You need the watering can to help water, but you can still weed, gather all flowers, and collect everything the event has to offer. The goal is to get the sprouts growing. The more players watering together, the faster everything grows. Once the flowers have bloomed, everyone can then gather them.
- Weeders: Help pull away overgrown plants that threaten the sprouts.
- Waterers: Give the sprouts a good sprinkle, helping them bloom into budding flowers.
- What are the Event Rewards? Rewards can include sellable weeds, Sundrop Lilies, Spice Sprouts, Wild Garlic, Gardenia Flowers, Chapaatail Flower, Rose Flower, Trillium Flowers, Cottonball flowers, and more. For some extra special loot, you might be able to find some of the 10 new flowers, nine new planters, a floral nameplate, or perhaps even a lost potato pod! Whether you’re here to pick weeds, water blossoms, or chase down some lush rewards.
The Bulletin Board
Located in Kilima Village, the Bulletin Board provides new, limited-time activities and narrative mini-quests. Completing objectives on the board will reward players with a variety of prizes. It’s a moment that a lot of players have been waiting for, invites you to keep playing.
- When do you unlock the Bulletin Board? Pick up the Bulletin Board quest from Kenli. Once you’ve completed building your house or your first add-on, Kenli will bumble over to your plot with a special quest to kick things off.
- What is on the Bulletin Board for the Botanical Bliss Update? The Midsummer bundle and its rewards are tied to this update. Collect the requested items, turn them in, and work your way through four themed sub-bundles. Each one offers rewards like the new flowers and new nameplates. The nameplates are exclusive to the board, while the flowers can be found in the new event.
- What do I do after unlocking all four bundles? Once you complete all four bundles, you’ll unlock an outro quest that comes with extra special rewards, plus build a lot of friendship with Kenli too.
New Items for the Botanical Bliss Update
- New Plants & Planters: The update introduces 10 new plants and flowers and nine new planters, giving players more options for decorating their home plots.
- New Plushes: The Floatfish Toadstool Plush, Floatfish Piksii Plush, and the Floatfish Midnight Plush are added in this update. Additionally, two limited-time Cupcake Plushes will be available as login rewards, one with pink cake and white frosting, and the other with a rich red color and chocolate icing.
- Nameplates: 8 new flower-themed Nameplates to choose from; your display name has never looked so stylish. These new nameplates can be obtained through either the Flower Bloom event or via the Bulletin Board rewards.
Quality-of-Life Improvements
- Infinite Quest Bag: With this update, players’ quest bag now has infinite space, to allow for duplicates.
- Bundle Improvements Items: These can be turned into a bundle now, showing a bundle icon in the inventory, along with the bundle name in the tooltip for easy reference. This is only shown for unlocked bundles and when the item is still needed to complete the bundle.
- New Tool and Emote Accessibility Setting: This new setting, aimed at improving accessibility, has been added under the settings tab titled “Gameplay Wheels Toggle Open.” This allows players to open the Tool or Emote Wheel with a single tap, rather than holding the button. This setting is available on keyboard, controller, and console.
Premium Store Updates
In addition to the free content, the premium store will offer new items, including the Beastslayer and Yacht Club outfit collections, the Torocat Pet and Glider, and the Beastslayer Tool Skin.
