Netmarble’s Project Bloomwalker Debuts Gorgeous Studio Ghibli-Inspired Trailer

Netmarble has made the first public debut of its new cozy crafting adventure, Project Bloomwalker, at Gamescom 2025. Developed by Netmarble Neo, the game features a playable demo exclusively at the Xbox booth on the Gamescom show floor, but for those who aren’t in Cologne, Germany, the gorgeous gameplay trailer will have to suffice.

Netmarble’s explanation of the game makes me immediately excited, especially with the clear Studio Ghibli influences. “Bloomwalker translates to ‘one who walks while blooming flowers,’ reflecting a vision of a world where the protagonist’s footsteps bring life back with every step. The title symbolizes the power of players to be a force of healing and renewal that transforms the world around them,” the release reads.

That spirit of community and bringing life to the environment around you is much needed, and the art of the games, shown in the trailer, is exciting in its softness and vibrancy.

What is Project Bloomwalker?

Set in a once-beautiful land shared by humans and mysterious spirits, the game begins when a mysterious meteor crashes down, leaving an impact site so polluted that no life can survive.  In Project Bloomwalker, you take on the role of a “Bloomwalker,” an individual with the power to heal the wounded Earth.

A mysterious meteor crash has left a large area polluted and lifeless, and it’s up to you to restore harmony to nature. You will embark on a journey with your spirit companions, called Oddlings, to explore uncharted territories and cleanse the tainted landscapes.

As the world suffers, Bloomwalkers appear who can wield power to restore life and heal the wounded earth. Taking on the role of a Bloomwalker, players will journey forth in their unique moving house to cleanse the polluted landscapes and rekindle the harmony of nature.

Aboard their moving house, players and their adorable spirit companions called Oddling embark on a journey to explore uncharted territories, cleanse tainted landscapes, gather resources for crafting and decoration, and forge bonds with their Oddling friends as they prepare for new adventures.

Key features include:
