Square Enix has released Final Fantasy: Moogle Bounty Mayhem Board Game, a charmingly detailed game designed by board game designer Seiji Kanai, known for the award-winning game Love Letter, which won 4th place at the 2014 Deutscher Spielepreis (DSP). This made him the first Japanese entrant to place in the competition.

In a message to media via a release, designer Kanai said, “While the game is a trendy, short-duration game, it is a challenging game in which the cards and intentions of the players are intricately intertwined. I hope you enjoy the game along with Mr. Ito’s wonderful illustrations!”

Seiji Kanai is one of Japan’s leading board game designers. Each playthrough unfolds uniquely based on the combination of moogles and monsters, encouraging players to engage in multiple, short rounds. In addition, all cards feature newly illustrated artwork by Ryoma Ito, who oversaw the beautiful art design for Final Fantasy XII.

Every time you play, each game promises a fresh and thrilling experience with endless combinations of moogles and monsters, keeping the excitement alive through fast-paced, bite-sized rounds.

While the quick pace is sure to resonate with existing board game fans, the tabletop game also offers something for Final Fantasy fans who may not play tabletop games to jump in too. Final Fantasy: Moogle Bounty Mayhem Board Game features original, charmingly stylized artwork by Final Fantasy XII Art Supervisor Ryoma Ito. This vibrant, easy to learn and hard to master game is as much a visual treat as it is a fun challenge fit for all ages.
