Amazon Games is launching Lost Ark’s August update, “Rise of the Valkyrie,” on August 20, 2025. This update introduces the highly anticipated Valkyrie class, the Rise of the Valkyrie event, a Trust Point System, the Twinkle Twinkle Exchange event, and changes to Hyper Awakening.

A new support-type class that heals allies and commands the battlefield with the power of light. The Valkyrie wields a one-handed sword with skills of Holy Radiance and Justice and can provide buffs with her Light Unleashing skill. You can also take on a Class Awakening Quest to unlock new achievements, a title, a trophy, and a Training Room Guide.

New In-Game Events with Rise of the Valkyrie Update

  • Rise of the Valkyrie Event: From August 20 to November 19, players can select a single character between item levels 1640 and 1681 to receive rewards. The event can be paired with the Mokoko Challenge Express or activated on another character. It also introduces a new Event Powerpass that can be stacked with the M49 Powerpass.
  • Twinkle Twinkle Exchange Event: A limited-time Event Gold Shop will be available from August 20 to September 17. Players can exchange Gold for valuable rewards, including honing materials, Relic and Legendary Engravings, and Card Packs. You can also purchase random chest packs that yield Golden Frog Tokens to redeem for additional items.

System Changes

When it comes to updates, Lost Ark is welcoming some system changes to address community feedback. Here are three of the main changes coming in the Rise of the Valkyrie update.

  • Trust Point System: This new system lets players earn “trust” through gold-consuming activities. The amount of trust you hold will affect transaction fees and the ability to trade with other players. Trust will be displayed in mail and trade windows, and notifications for changes will appear in the system message.
  • Ebony Cube Revamp: The rewards from the Ebony Cube will double starting from M50, but the drop rate for cube tickets will be decreased by 50%. Ebony Cube tickets in players’ inventories will be exchanged at a 2:1 ratio to reflect the change. Two Fragments can be exchanged for an Ebony Cube Ticket at an exchange vendor.
  • Hyper Awakening: Players in Tier 3 will now be able to learn Hyper Awakening skills. This change improves the Tier 3 player experience, adds more fairness to Crucible ranking in Paradise, and allows players to challenge Crucible ranking for more Hell Keys.

Lost Ark will release its “Rise of the Valkyrie” update on August 20, 2025, on PC.
