Indie horror publisher, DreadXP, is teaming up with The Media Indie Exchange (The MIX) to air the third annual The Indie Horror Showcase. Horror is a genre that is never the same twice. Every fear that’s embraced, and every mechanic for making you uncomfortable is specific to the player. And thanks to Dread XP, October is going to be about highligting those inide horror games that keep pushing boundaries.

The event will feature a collection of trailers for new horror and horror-adjacent games from developers worldwide. The teams aim to make this year’s showcase even more ghoulish and ghastly than the last. Developers can now submit their games for consideration, with submissions closing on September 19, 2025.

By partnering with The MIX again, DreadXP aims to maximize the positioning for all featured titles and plans to pursue additional co-streaming opportunities to boost visibility. The teams are proud to have created a space that elevates a wide selection of open-submission work from developers of all sizes in the indie horror community.

In a release, the partners encouraged developers to submit their work and join a growing community dedicated to delivering chilling experiences to players everywhere. But in an even more exciting note, DreadXP has drawn a line in the sand, stating that any games or trailers using Generative AI are ineligible for the showcase. People make games, and this showcase is making a point to ensure that.

For the third iteration of the Indie Horror Showcase, DreadXP teased some of what you can expect when you tune in:
