Marvel Rivals Season 3 QOL Updates

In addition to the new content, the Marvel Rivals team is working on improving the game’s matchmaking and ranking systems. A new video will be released on August 21st to give players a look into how the systems work and what the team is doing to improve them. The game has also implemented Discord’s Social SDK for a more unified social experience.

What is Marvel Rivals?

If you’re unfamiliar, in Marvel Rivals, players can look forward to choosing heroes split into three distinct roles based on their unique power inclinations: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist. They’ll be free to pick their preferred role and hero, teaming up with allies to create a versatile and dynamic lineup for battle. Players can also reach a whole new level of team play and collaboration with Team-Up Abilities, unleashing joint superpowers with their allies, tearing down the battlefield to win in exciting fights.

In our review of the game’s first season, our critic said: “Marvel Rivals is fantastic. Everything runs smoothly with a fantastic core gameplay loop. The characters are varied and a blast to use, with a play style available for everyone and a hero they love or can fall in love with. It takes a foundation people know and makes it its own.”

Marvel Rivals Season 3: The Abyss Awakens will launch on August 21, 2025, on PC and consoles.
