Digital Extremes has announced that Warframe‘s next major update, “Isleweaver,” will launch on Wednesday, June 25, and it’s completely free for all platforms. This update picks up after the events of Warframe: 1999 and is packed with new story content, the introduction of the 61st Warframe, Oraxia, significant new player experience improvements, quality-of-life changes, and a brand-new Clan Operation.
What New Player Experience and Quality of Life Improvements are coming with Isleweaver?
- Junction Progression Rewards: Soar through the Origin System’s Junctions with new progression rewards as Digital Extremes continues to improve the game’s main progression path.
- Vor’s Prize Revamp: Experience a modernization of the gameplay onboarding tutorials through one of the first Quests, “Vor’s Prize,” including a revamped boss fight.
- Valkyr Rework: Experiment with a rework of Valkyr’s gameplay. Her ability kit has been changed for more speed and aggressive playstyles, better suiting her melee-focused kit.
For All Warframe Players
No matter where you are in your journey, all Warframe players will have access to:
- Oraxia, the 61st Warframe: Prepare to “weave chaos” with Oraxia, the mistress of fear. She can isolate and execute weakened foes, poison enemies, imbibe marked enemies for buffs, and even summon spiderling swarms from the corpses of the fallen, acting like a true broodmother. You’ll also get two new weapons to add to your arsenal alongside Oraxia: the barb cluster Scyotid throwing weapon and the poisonous Spinnerex whip.
- New Deluxe Cosmetics and TennoGen: Explore new facets of Citrine with the latest Deluxe Collection, which includes the Citrine Aphrodita Skin, Corazon Syandana, and other re-cut bejeweled cosmetics. You can also elevate your Fashion Frame game with new TennoGen cosmetics, designed by the community, to adorn your Warframes, Weapons, and Operators when Isleweaver launches.
Do you need to complete “The Hex”?
Yes and no. If you’ve already finished the Warframe: 1999 Quest, “The Hex,” you’ll have access to this new content listed below. If not, you do still get some new elements listed above.
- An Expanded Kingdom of Duviri: You’ll encounter Major Rusalka once again in a more familiar, yet still emotionally turbulent, Duviri. Expect new threats like The Murmur and the ominous presence of The Indifference.
- You’ll be able to collect lore fragments to uncover narrative secrets and discover a new island called Scholar’s Landing. Unravel the mystery behind Rusalka’s reign before facing off against the newest Warframe, Oraxia, in a new mini-boss fight.
- Operation: Eight Claw: Here, you will team up with Dominus Thrax in this new Clan Operation to reclaim Scholar’s Landing and Duviri’s throne from Major Rusalka and the Murmur.
- Earn exclusive event rewards as you hunt for lore fragments around the area to learn more about Rusalka’s story and the current state of Duviri’s kingdom.
- During Operation: Eight Claw, previous Clan Operation rewards will be available to earn again until Wednesday, July 16.
Digital Extremes plans to make more announcements at TennoCon in July. Warframe’s “Isleweaver” will launch on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
