While we wait for more updates on the globetrotting Terminal List Season 2, Prime Video is still keeping the TV series inspired by Jack Carr’s novel series in the conversation with a first look at The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. The streamer has shared new details for the action-drama series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. Now, we have a bevy of first look images, a release schedule, and a cast.
Co-created by the New York Times bestselling author of The Terminal List, Jack Carr, and Season One creator-showrunner David DiGilio, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is a prequel series. It promises an origin story that follows fan-favorite Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch) as he transitions from his Navy SEAL days into the shadowy, clandestine world of CIA Special Operations.
Expect a deep dive into an espionage thriller that pulls no punches, exploring the brutal realities of warfare and the heavy human cost that comes with it. The series is a production of Amazon, MGM Studios, and MRC/Civic Center Media.
Just like The Terminal List Season 1, the creative team has made authenticity a bedrock principle for The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. From military operations and intelligence work to the emotional and psychological toll of service, the show aims for realism. Military veterans have contributed to Dark Wolf across the board, as writers, actors, on-set technical advisors, and executive producers. This prequel series is committed to respectfully and realistically portraying the mindset, brotherhood, and moral complexities of Special Operations.

What to expect from The Terminal List Season 2?
While The Terminal List Season 2 will seemingly debut in 2026, characters from the previously announced prequel series Dark Wolf will make appearances. If the story follows the book, then this is what we can expect:
“When a bomb goes off during a holiday fair in London, the body count is horrific and the nation’s market goes into a tailspin. This, it turns out, is just the beginning of a series of coordinated and murderous attacks against the whole of the Western world. As the scope of the mayhem grows ever wider, pulling in country after country, the United States goes on the offensive. Who is pulling the strings? What is their motive? And most important of all, how can the attacks be stopped before bloodshed and economic free fall bring America and her allies to their knees?”
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf will air its first three episodes exclusively on Prime Video on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
