Netflix today announced that its anticipated new limited series, Black Rabbit. The release date for Black Rabbit is currently set for September 18, 2025. The series, which stars and is executive produced by Jude Law and Jason Bateman, also debuted its first look with production stills.

Jason Bateman’s last Netflix Original was Carry-On. In our review of the film, we said, “Carry-On is good—really good. The actors and the pacing make this Netflix film one to watch right along with Die Hard at Christmas.”

What is Black Rabbit?

Black Rabbit is set against the backdrop of New York City’s high-pressure nightlife scene, centering on two brothers pushed to the brink by their duty to family and pursuit of success. Jude Law plays Jake Friedken, the charismatic owner of Black Rabbit, a restaurant and VIP lounge poised to become New York’s hottest spot.

Trouble ensues when his brother, Vince, played by Jason Bateman, unexpectedly returns to the business, opening the door to old traumas and new dangers that threaten to dismantle everything they have built. The series is described as a propulsive thrill ride and character examination, exploring how an unbreakable bond between two brothers can shatter their world and everything in its orbit.

Black Rabbit premieres exclusively on Netflix September 18, 2025.
