Netflix has officially confirmed that filming is underway for Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen Season 2. Created by Guy Ritchie, written by Ritchie and Matthew Read, and directed by Ritchie and Eran Creevy. Theo James (The White Lotus), Theo James (Crawl), and Daniel Ings (The Crown) are all set to reprise their roles, diving back into the luxurious and dangerous world of the English aristocracy.

We called The Gentlemen Season 1, “Guy Ritchie’s best work,” giving the series a 9.5/10, making it one of our top-rated TV shows in 2024. We also said, “In The Gentlemen TV series, Guy Ritchie is at his Ritchiest. The TV series format allows The Gentlemen to reach its full potential. This allows the more chaotic moments to stand out instead of feeling shoved in. Ritchie may be better suited for television, and I mean that with the utmost respect.

The Gentlemen (2024) is one of the few times a TV series tie-in matches and sometimes exceeds its cinematic predecessor. It’s funny, darkly humorous, and the visuals are decadent. Every costume and set is dripping with that high-class British aesthetic, making Americans fall over themselves. Made with a vibrant palette in mind and the choice to handwrite context on pivotal scenes as exposition is the best I’ve seen done.”

Ritchie expressed his excitement in a release from Netflix stating, “I am delighted to return to set for season two of The Gentlemen. This chapter sees a deliberate expansion, both geographically and thematically, as we journey from the English countryside to the Italian lakes. Eddie and Susie find themselves navigating an increasingly volatile empire as they’re besieged on all fronts by an influx of enigmatic new players. The stakes are heightened, the power dynamics are more precarious, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating once again with this exceptional cast and crew.”

What’s Next for Eddie and Susie in Netflix’s The Gentlemen Season 2?

In The Gentlemen Season 2, one year has passed since Eddie and Susie allied with Bobby’s overseas criminal empire. But as they strive to expand their enterprise, Bobby’s decisions are becoming increasingly erratic and questionable. This forces Eddie and Susie to confront a difficult choice: take drastic action or risk losing everything they’ve built.

The Gentlemen Season 2 is currently filming in the UK, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates. With Guy Ritchie at the helm as Creator, Writer (alongside Matthew Read), and Director (with Eran Creevy), you know we’re in for another wild ride.
