Indie studio Toukana Interactive has just revealed the launch date of the 1.0 version of its peaceful building game Dorfromantik as part of today’s Future Games Show presentation.

Happy birthday Dorfromantik! The game was released on Steam Early Access one year ago, on March 25th, 2021. Since then, the game has seen frequent updates, such as the new Halloween and winter biomes, a creative mode, and the most requested feature of all, the glorious Undo button.

The story of Toukana Interactive feels like an indie fairytale: Four students band together and develop a game during their studies. The game takes off and is loved not only by its players but also finds critical acclaim, winning multiple prestigious awards such as ‘Best Game’ at the German Developer Awards.

While players enjoy the freedom, the Creative Mode offers, the team at Toukana Interactive are planning their next steps. The game’s 1.0 release on April 28th marks a significant milestone for the studio, but their indie journey has only just begun.

About Dorfromantik:

Dorfromantik is a peaceful building strategy and puzzle game where you create a beautiful and ever-growing village landscape by placing tiles. Explore a variety of colorful biomes, discover and unlock new tiles, and complete quests to fill your world with life!

About Toukana Interactive:

Dorfromantik was developed by four-game design students from Berlin. Together they have founded Toukana Interactive and want to continue developing more small, original, and high-quality indie games in the future.
