Ever felt that your favorite footballer wasn’t valued as much as they should be? Well, EA Sports FC 26 is shaking up Football Ultimate Team (FUT) with the launch of Ratings Reload. This is FC 26’s new live service campaign, driven directly by community feedback that the developers collect. The campaign addresses the most requested community changes to player ratings and PlayStyles following the release of the Base Ratings, leaning into how involved the community is when it comes to discussing and playing with their favorite players.

Continuing the theme of player choice that the devs have embraced this year, Ratings Reload is informed by a flood of “underrated” votes from the FC 26 Ratings Database and comments across social media that have been put together to well, give us this. Ratings Reload is set to integrate popular demands into the game, giving fans a chance to see their favorite athletes get a well-deserved boost. A reactive choice, but one that aims to keep giving players agency.

What to expect from Ratings Reload?

Ratings Reload FUT Update - EA Sports FC 26

The core of the Ratings Reload campaign is the introduction of two new campaign-specific squads in FUT, built directly from the most requested community changes. The initiative goes beyond just OVR by also addressing missing PlayStyles and desired increases to face stats.

Ratings Reload isn’t just about new cards; it’s also bringing a wealth of content to keep players engaged and allow them to tailor their favorite players. The goal of the campaign, as explained in a media release, is to put the power into the players’ hands, ensuring that their squad-building efforts can directly reflect community-driven adjustments and allow for a deeper level of customization and connection to FUT. And to do that, EA Sports FC 26 is rolling out teams.

New FUT Content and Events

Ratings Reload FUT Update - EA Sports FC 26

The campaign will feature a variety of new Live Events and themed Evolutions designed to boost each of the six face stats. For players who feel their favorites were deserving of a 5-star weak foot or higher stats, this is the chance to level them up.

  • Comprehensive Glow Up EVOs: New player Evolutions are rolling out for every area of the pitch, along with more specific positional Evolutions that offer Roles+ to fully customize players to a user’s style.
  • Silver Stunners: Silver-only Live Events are finally coming to EASPORTSFC26. Ratings Reload will kick off with the Silver Warm Up during Week 1, which requires Player Items with 74 OVR or below, followed by the highly anticipated World Tour Silver Superstars event in Week 2. New Silver-specific Evolutions are also included to prepare squads for these events.
  • SBCs and Gauntlets: Players should keep an eye out for new SBCs throughout the campaign, including player picks and the Premier League and Ligue 1 McDonald’s Player of the Month awards. Additionally, the second Gauntlet of the series is set to become available, challenging players to earn rewards by securing three consecutive wins with completely different squads.

What to expect from EA Sports FC 26?

With more customization, gameplay modes, and depth fueled by player choice, this iteration of EA Sports’ long-running soccer franchise has set the goal of meeting its community’s feedback head-on.

In our review of the game, we said, “Listening to player feedback is essential, and if they can continue to evolve over the next year, there is no reason to doubt that EA Sports FC 26 can reach its full potential with some slight updates. There is plenty to enjoy in EA Sports FC 26 for soccer fans of all backgrounds, creating a truly excellent experience. Minor changes going forward will only help turn a very good game into something special.”

EA Sports FC 26 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
