A Bumper Crop of STORY OF SEASONS News Arrives on 25th Anniversary!

Today, XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., unveiled a plethora of announcements for the popular farm/life sim series STORY OF SEASONS on its 25th anniversary! A new illustration by series artist Igusa Matsuyama commemorates the momentous occasion and arrives alongside a new trailer showcasing the growth of the franchise from 1996 to the present day!

The announcements kick off with the reveal that STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town is coming to Windows PC via Steam this Sept. 15. Pre-orders on the standard game and “Expansion Pass Set” bundle are now available for a special discounted price. The “Expansion Pass” DLC and four additional outfits will also be available for separate purchase. Also coming to Pioneers of Olive Town on PC and Nintendo Switch system on Sept. 15 is the “Princess Sakuna’s Heavenly Garb” collaboration DLC, which will be available for free download until March 30, 2022. The announcements continue with STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town being confirmed to launch Oct. 26 for PS4 system and Xbox One. Additionally, series fans will be delighted to hear that the out-of-stock Strawberry Hanako pocket plushie returns as a pre-order bonus on the physical edition, available through the XSEED Games Store and participating retailers.

For the anniversary, STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town director Hikaru Nakano will make an appearance to answer fan-submitted questions about the series in a video stream at PAX West on Sept. 4 at 12:15 PM PDT.

The critically acclaimed STORY OF SEASONS series’ most recent releases set company sales records in North America with Pioneers of Olive Town hitting 200,000 units sold on the Nintendo Switch system and Friends of Mineral Town hitting 250,000 units sold, and the series itself has racked up 5.3 million sales worldwide since its debut in 1996. Now, the latest entries in this long-running series are arriving on new platforms, bringing farming, friends, and love to more players!
