On August 25, writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Kenneth Rocafort take “The Joker War” underground in Detective Comics #1026, a tie-in to the event that will change the lives of The Dark Knight, his allies and his enemies forever.
“The Joker War” kicked off recently in Batman #95 after the reveal the supervillain was behind the designer all along. Now, Batman is scrambling to keep Gotham from falling apart while the Joker takes over Wayne Enterprises and even Bruce Wayne’s bank account. The Clown Prince of Crime and the Dark Knight Detective go head-to-head for the last time. The Joker has never wanted to win before, he’s never wanted his battle with Batman to end, but now his motivation has shifted.
Now, in other Batman-related books, “The Joker War” rages on, the casualties are mounting, and the underground residents of Gotham City must deal with the devastating effects of the Joker toxin that’s been pumped into the city’s old tunnel system. Batman must risk everything to guide them to safety, but a familiar face has mobilized these forgotten souls to rise up in anger…and Killer Croc takes no prisoners.
DC Comics offered a first look at Rocafort’s incredible art in Detective Comics #1026. Readers can pick up the issue at comic book stores as well as through digital retailers including ComiXology using our affiliate link.
