FIRST LOOK: Explore the Metalverse With DC Comics

Earth is turned upside down, shrouded in a realm of darkness after the Justice League’s defeat by the cosmic goddess Perpetua. Now the Batman Who Laughs and his army of Dark Knights rule the planet, wreaking havoc on humanity and raining destruction on the world. But new details of the Metalverse are emerging.

Dark Nights: Death Metal #1 started the series off with a bang. Wonder Woman is the warden of hell, which was formerly Themyscira, The Batman Who Laughs reigns supreme over the surface after the world is enveloped by the Dark Multiverse. The Justice League struggles to keep any semblance of order while humanity crumples under the harsh new conditions of the earth. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman have all been separated and while there is little hope, they continue to fight to stay alive and take back the world.

Now, DC has built out the bat-shaped map that first appeared on the credits page for Dark Nights: Death Metal #1 with details about this new landscape! While you’re checking out the Metalverse map (credited to Jared Blando) there’s some great easter eggs and notes about the Super Heroes that inhabit these new spaces (Warworld, Megapokolips, Slaughter Swamp, and more). The map has extra features that can be found at https://www.dccomics.com/metal by hovering over the various areas.
